Please come along to our fundraising Table Quiz in Holohan's Bar on Thursday 30 June at 9.30 pm. All are welcome - tables of four €20. All proceeds go towards ongoing maintenance and upkeep of village.

Tidy Towns Results 2010
Well done to all involved in this year's Tidy Towns effort. The awards were presented in Dublin today and Abbey has again achieved first place in County Galway, with a score of 292, an increase of 3 marks on last year. To read the full adjudication report click on the link below.

Tidy Towns Awards 2010
Adjudication is complete, and the awards for this year's Tidy Towns will take place on Monday 13 September. Good luck to all and thanks for your hard work throughout the summer. Results will be posted as soon as we hear!

Village Clean-Up

Tidy Towns Adjudication 2010
Adjudication for Tidy Towns takes place from 1 June. Thanks to all our volunteers for your help with watering flowers and litter patrol. If you haven't yet signed up to volunteer please give your name to Niamh or Annie and we will be happy to include you on the rota!

Our next village clean-up in preparation for Tidy Towns takes place on Saturday 29 May from 11am-1pm. Please meet at Community Centre at 11am.
Tools will be provided but additional spades, forks and yard brushes would be welcome. Don't forget to bring gloves!
